why do fundraising?

Fundraising is important to political campaigns because it provides the resources necessary to run a successful campaign. Political campaigns require significant financial investments to develop and execute a winning strategy, including creating campaign materials, advertising, hiring staff, and traveling to meet voters. Additionally, political campaigns must often compete with well-funded opponents, making fundraising a critical component of a campaign’s success. By raising funds from a large base of supporters, political campaigns are able to build momentum and demonstrate the strength of their candidacy to both voters and potential donors. Fundraising also helps political campaigns to build a network of supporters and cultivate relationships that can last beyond the campaign and provide support for future political endeavors.

It typically takes 21 calls for one donation; we can bring this number down to around 14 calls for one donation by improving the way we reach out to donors. By researching donors, tracking donor contact on a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager), and knowing their donation capability we can improve our success rate. As a benchmark for fundraising goals, the NRCC (National Republican Campaign Committee) requires candidates in the Young Gun program to make a minimum of 400 calls a week.
